Izabella Cranor is our Female Athlete of the Week! Coach says "Izabella Cranor is a young lady who has really put in a lot of work to become a more consistent player in practice as well as in the games. She works hard to develop her skills and when she is called on she is prepared to perform at any given time. I am proud to coach Izabella Cranor and I am glad that she is our AOW!"

Matthew Mego is our Male Athlete of the Week! Coach says "Matthew Mego works really well with all the other chess club members. He is very encouraging to the newer chess players, and helps them out with strategy and hints. He is very focused when he plays chess, and seems to thoroughly enjoy playing. He has placed in the top 20 the first 2 tournaments that IMS has attended."

Emmett Pearson is our Student of the Month! Teachers say "One teacher says He models the "Bulldog Way" for others wherever he is in the building. Emmett is kind and caring of others. He works hard in class and participates in class activities. He brings joy to those around him with the positive attitude he displays. "
Another teacher says "Emmett is a hard-working student who always gives his best effort every day in class. He is a quiet leader who sets an excellent example to his peers in academics and behavior by consistently following the "Bulldog Way". Emmett is always willing to lend a helping hand to peers and adults at IMS, whether it is passing out papers, showing his classmates how to answer a homework question, or quietly loaning a pencil to a peer. Emmett is a deserving student for the reward."

Students can purchase a yearbook for the 23-24 school year for $35. We have two ways to purchase a yearbook. One way is online using the following link- https://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A02628300 . Yearbooks can also be purchased at school in Room 321 for $35 using cash or check. Every student purchasing a yearbook will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card the last day of school before Christmas Break.
Karla Hunter is our Classified Staff of the Month. Mrs. Hunter personifies #TheBulldogWay. She is a servant leader and is always so helpful, respectful and loving to our students. She brings her best every day, no matter the situation. Lunch time is amazing because Mrs. Hunter is always there to help the students with their needs. We appreciate you Mrs. Hunter!!!!!
Amanda Hightower is our Teacher of the Month in December. Her peers say "Amanda has one of the most difficult and demanding jobs in our building and she is amazing at working with all students. She shows a tremendous amount of compassion and heart through getting to know students. You will never see Amanda without a smile and a positive attitude, even on her toughest days. She will make you laugh, be there when you need her, and help others in any way she can; she is always willing to help a coworker, no matter what it is. She gives it her all and is a true team player! IMS is lucky to have Amanda on staff."

Eva McClure is our Female Athlete of the Week! Coach says "Eva McClure has been so awesome to coach this year. She caught on so fast and has truly been impressive. Technically she is advancing so fast that you would think she has been wrestling for years. We're thankful she came out and look forward to her wrestling career over the next few years. " We have loved watching you compete, keep it up! Proud of you! #TheBulldogWay
Konner Adams is our Male Athlete of the Week!! Coach says "Konner has been really impressive in his wrestling debut. Konner brings an intensity that helps him win a lot of matches. The intensity side is something you really can't teach and he certainly has it. We look forward to working with Konner in the future hope he will remain part of the bulldog wrestling family."

It's that time of year! As cold and flu season kicks into high gear, just a reminder of the district temperature policy. If your child is sick, please keep them home to help us keep from spreading it through out our student body. If you questions, please contact the IMS Clinic at 620--332-1836.

Mrs. Allen's Social Studies class working on their Egyptian unit. Here are some pictures from their Egypt class projects. Students had a choice of what type of project they wanted to complete. Many chose to create their own pyramids while others chose to create special topic Google Slide presentations, ABC books, and Egypt-based creative writing short stories. Thank you Mrs. Allen for bringing history alive to you classes. #theBULLDOGway
