This week's Female Athlete of the Week is Rallie Garretson! Coach says "Rallie Garretson did a fantastic job representing IMS at the Spirit Spreader Clinic. She paid close attention to the UCA cheerleading staff as they taught a band dance, cheer, and sidelines. Rallie demonstrated excitement and enthusiasm throughout the day. Her positive energy helped the other girls feel more confident. She stepped up as a leader by standing in the front row of our squad, so others could follow her movements. Rallie has a fun personality and is a joy to work with. "

Wanted to make sure that we update some details for tonight's first home athletic events.

Admission -
$4 - Adults
$1 - Students


Notes - There will be one football game with a 5th quarter. The game begins at 5 pm. Volleyball will start at 4 pm, with the first match on the courts being Fredonia (B) vs. Independence (B), followed by the A teams. 7th grade will be on the North Court, and the 8th grade will play on the South Court. Coffeyville vs. Fredonia will follow, with the night's last match being Coffeyville (A) vs. Independence (A).

We are excited to announce Ames Thornton as our September Student of the Month! Ames is a hardworking and dedicated student who consistently demonstrates the Bulldog Way. He approaches each day with a positive attitude, treats others with kindness and respect, and is always prepared for class. In addition to his strong work ethic in the classroom, Ames is also involved as an athlete, where he continues to model teamwork, discipline, and leadership. His dedication both in school and in activities makes him a true role model for his peers and an asset to our school community. Congrats Ames!!! #TheBulldogWay

Our Teacher of the Month is Tina Hannah. Tina is fantastic at working with students in the Reading Lab and helping them get closer to grade level. At the beginning of the year, she is an absolute rock star with all the testing and data to help us get going with Blended Learning and to get her Reading Lab groups set. She spends countless hours setting up data tracking sheets for every Blended Learning teacher and helps everyone know what reading program students use. She is amazing at data tracking, as students make progress when receiving Title services, and is constantly updating schedules each quarter due to student schedule changes. Tina is always willing to help troubleshoot issues in the Blended Learning programs and offer advice so we can best help our students. She has great prizes for students to choose from in the Blended Learning store, which keeps kids motivated to work in Reading Plus/Power Up and IXL. Tina has a love for reading, and that shines through her actions here at IMS. Tina and her staff are the best! Thank you for all you do for our students, Mrs. Hannah!!! #TheBulldogWay

Our Female Athlete of the Week is McKenzie Seel!!! Coach says, "We’d like to nominate McKenzie Seel. McKenzie has been so positive at practice by encouraging teammates. She is coachable and listens to what her coaches ask of her. McKenzie goes the extra mile daily. Keep up the great work!" McKenzie is also a Cheerleader on our cheer squad. Great job, McKenzie!!
