Joel King is the Male Athlete of the Week. Coach says "Joel goes above and beyond both on and off the field. Joel has had some big impacts in the last 3 games, earning the Hit man award last week! Paris Drake is our Female Athlete of the Week. Coach says "Paris has come leaps and bounds this year. She continues to push herself each week to improve." Keep working Paris, we are so proud of your effort! #TheBulldogWay


We have do have some opportunities for our 6th graders to get involved in extracurricular activities. Both Chess and e-Sports are activities that they can join and we would recommend. #TheBulldogWay

Morgan McLenon is our Female Athlete of the Week. Coach says "Morgan is 3-1 on the season and has been our vocal leader from day 1. She keeps practices entertaining and light hearted, while also remaining serious when she needs to be." Morgan is our first 2 time Athlete of the Week, earning this honor last year as well. Kumari Clayton is our Male Athlete of the Week. Coaches say "Kumari is a new to the game of football, but he is learning quickly. He is part of the reason for our early season success. Kumari is a great teammate and loves playing for his football family. He continued his success against Pitt last night. Proud of this kid!" Asia VanWinkle is our Female Athlete of the Week. Coach says "I nominate Asia VanWinkle. Asia is new to cheer this year. She worked with Emily Sandon during the summer to get a "jumpstart" on learning our sidelines to do at games. She has a positive attitude, lots of enthusiasm, and brings energy each day during practice. Asia has a smile that lights up the room! Others around her feel more confident because she encourages them to do their best."

Levi Dillon is our Male Athlete of the Week. Coach says "Not only is Levi a great athlete at IMS, he's a great kid with a great attitude. He brings his best everyday. He truly is the definition of leading by example. Levi is a multi-sport athlete at IMS where he is involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Levi is also a straight "A" student and does an outstanding job as a student off the field."

Tomorrow is our first home football game vs. Altamont (Labette County). Usually, we play two games (7th grade and 8th grade) but tomorrow we will play 5 quarters due to low numbers from our opponent. #TheBulldogWay

Mrs Morton is our Teacher of the Month!!! Mrs. Morton was nominated by FOUR different IMS Bulldogs for the honor of teacher of the month. Her colleagues say that she goes above and beyond to help teachers and students. She is kind to fellow teachers, asking if she can help in any way. And, she is always elevating students in her class and in the hallways. She is always willing to do whatever is needed to help students and is excited about teaching and truly cares about her students. She arrives to work early, stays late, and yet still finds time to offer her best during the school day. She attempts to complete as many tasks as possible, giving positive support in the process. We are so proud of you, and thankful for what you do! #TheBulldogWay

Our Female Athlete of the Week is Khloe Robles! Coaches say "Khloe is new to volleyball and has already shown huge improvement. Her teammates and coaches notice good things. This week our word of the week is communion and 4 players mentioned that Khloe is a good communicator while out on the court! Coaches commented on her consistent serves. Khloe’s ability to communicate and her effort to improve makes her a stand out athlete. All four coaches nominated her this week. "

Our Male Athlete of the Week is Kaegan Johnson. Our coaches say "We chose Kaegan because he’s an unselfish, hard working, coachable kid. Kaegan is a great leader on and off the field. After each practice Kaegan is the last one off the field making sure everything is put away from practice. He holds himself and his teammates to a high standard of excellence and motivates everyone to be the best they can be!"
