Student of the Month for January - Lucy York, 6th grade
Always comes to class with a smile and a positive attitude. She is a conscientious student who strives to give her best effort daily. She is compassionate toward her peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those who need it. She has a fun personality and brings tons of enthusiasm to the classroom.


IMS Teacher of the Month: Michaele Kastler
Students nominated her and said: "Mrs. Kastler makes math really fun and helps students work through the things that they do not know how to do." Another student said "Mrs.kastler should be teacher of the month because she has a great personality and makes me smile every time I see her and she is absolutely fantastic at what she does!"

IMS turns 100! Today, students and staff celebrated the 100 birthday of our school building. We formed a 100 on the gym floor and decorated our classrooms with balloons as well as had party hats and popcorn! Attached is a powerpoint that Librarian Brenda White and Craig Null (former IMS teacher) created that shows the history of this building.


Mrs. Goza's advisory class did a snowflake STEM challenge using Q-tips and glue today! Check out the fun they had while learning.

Our Male Athlete of the Week is Collin Wonser. Coaches say “Collin is a 3 sport athlete playing football, wrestling, and basketball for IMS. This week of practicing at 6 am he was always one of the first to show up. Collin is a hard working young man, a team player, and is very coachable. 8th grader Callie Kaufmann shadowed IMS School Psychologist Kelsey Tronsgard-Ellison to learn more about a career in psychology!


MS Teacher of the Month is... Gabriella Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson goes above and beyond to help her students. Recently she was just trying to figure out how to get one of them signed up to play sports. She is always willing to have over full classes and take on new projects. Mrs. Johnson almost always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She makes everyone feel important and appreciated. Her students say "she is a great teacher for art and works really hard for advisory".


Student of the month for December is a model student and follows The Bulldog Way each and every day! This student comes to class prepared, works hard during class, participates in class activities and helps others when needed. Also stays focused and isn't distracted by others. She is kind and is a great friend to peers.
