Our Male Athlete of the Week is Eli McCambridge! Coach says "This is Eli's second year with the team. Since his seventh-grade year he has been working hard and has improved his game significantly. He plays with focus but is also playing to have fun."
Eli gives great effort in all he does! We appreciate how he is always following #TheBulldogWay

Our Female Athlete of the Week is Gracyn Goins. Coach says "Graycn is a competitor on the course and has placed in every tournament she has been to this year. Although she is a 7th grader, she will post scores that occasionally beat some of our starting 8th graders. She is very quiet during competitions, keeps her focus, and continues to work on improving her game."
Gracyn is not only a great golfer, but just a great young person. We are proud of you! #TheBulldogWay
All sports practices are cancelled today (4/30) due to weather. SEK Tennis Tournament scheduled for today is rescheduled for Friday (5/2).

The National Weather Service has put out updated weather information which has rain/storms/hail from 4pm-7pm. With this new information, we have made the decision to cancel the Independence Middle School Track Meet scheduled for this afternoon.
*There will also be no Track or Tennis Practice today.
*School will still dismiss at 2:55pm, with busses running at normal times.
Our Female Athlete of the Week is Kimberly Palmer. Coach says " Kimberly showed great sportsmanship during the Victory Games, not only trying her best but cheering on others during their events. She is so happy and excited when others do well. Kimberly is awesome."

Our Male Athlete of the week is Kamarjay Lornes! Coach says " Kamarjay competed hard in all his events at Victory Games. He showed perseverance and grit through all his contests. Kamarjay is always showing the Bulldog Way in the classroom and on the field. "
