IMS is finding other ways to motivate students to get the grades! We have privately funded this new initiative with the help of a private donation and some amazing businesses. Students who earn a 4.0 or all A's, in the second semester will be put into a raffle and a 6th, 7th and 8th grader will be drawn. The winner's will all earn a new pair of shoes (up to $150 value). So if a student wants a pair of J's, boots or a pair of heels, it's up to them! We think this will be a great way to motivate our students, bring some excitement to doing well in the classroom and also will recognize our great students. #TheBulldogWay

Our Male Athlete of the Week is Ian Martinez. Coach says “Ian has shown great leadership on the basketball court this year. He is a hard worker and when he laces up his shoes he is one tough kid! Ian is a 2 sport athlete playing both Football and basketball for IMS. One of Ian's strong attributes is his passion to play the game. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow, help lead his team, and become a great student athlete.”

IMS Teacher of the Month: Michaele Kastler
Students nominated her and said: "Mrs. Kastler makes math really fun and helps students work through the things that they do not know how to do." Another student said "Mrs.kastler should be teacher of the month because she has a great personality and makes me smile every time I see her and she is absolutely fantastic at what she does!"

Always comes to class with a smile and a positive attitude. She is a conscientious student who strives to give her best effort daily. She is compassionate toward her peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those who need it. She has a fun personality and brings tons of enthusiasm to the classroom.

IMS turns 100! Today, students and staff celebrated the 100 birthday of our school building. We formed a 100 on the gym floor and decorated our classrooms with balloons as well as had party hats and popcorn! Attached is a powerpoint that Librarian Brenda White and Craig Null (former IMS teacher) created that shows the history of this building.
Mrs. Goza's advisory class did a snowflake STEM challenge using Q-tips and glue today! Check out the fun they had while learning.
