She brings a positive attitude, a great personality, and is always willing to put in the effort. 🏆 MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – ELI KING! 🏆 Eli is the kind of athlete every team needs! He brings a great work ethic, gives his best effort, and consistently does the little things the right way. As an offensive lineman, he understands that success doesn’t always come with the spotlight. It’s about doing your job, being physical, and putting your teammates in a position to succeed. We appreciate Eli’s effort, attitude, and commitment to getting better every day. Keep up the great work, Eli!

📚🐾 AUTHOR VISIT COMING TO IMS! 🐾📚

We are excited to welcome author Alexandra Ott to Independence Middle School on Tuesday, November 10! She’ll be celebrating the release of her newest book, The Lost Compass Clue, Book 2 in the Codebreakers series! 🎉

Our Bulldog readers will get to hear about her inspiration, writing process, and what it takes to bring a story to life!

📖 Students can preorder their own copies! Order forms are due Friday, October 23. If you have questions, you can email our Librarian, Mrs. Newkirk.

📚 Big Things Are Happening at the IMS Library! 🐾

We’re excited to partner with the Independence Public Library to help our 7th and 8th-grade students get their own public library cards!

Through this partnership, students can explore free ebooks, audiobooks, and other resources while continuing to build a love of reading. ❤️🧡

Thank you to the Independence Public Library and Mrs. Newkirk for helping our Bulldogs discover new opportunities through reading!
