A few changes to this week’s athletic schedule:
🎾 Girls Tennis: Tuesday, Sept. 8 — Home match begins at 9:00 AM
🏈 Football Practice: Tuesday & Wednesday — 6:30 PM
🏈 Football Game: Thursday, Sept. 10 — 7:00 PM at Labette
These adjustments are being made due to the forecasted heat to help keep our student-athletes and coaches safe.

Congratulations to Tyson Schuler, our IMS Male Athlete of the Week!
Tyson had an outstanding night on the football field, helping lead the Bulldogs to a big win while seemingly being all over the field. His effort, toughness, and willingness to do whatever his team needed stood out throughout the game.
But what makes Tyson especially deserving of this recognition is the growth he has shown in the classroom. He has continued to work hard, make positive changes, and take steps forward academically. That kind of growth takes commitment and determination—and Tyson is showing it.

The teachers were ready… well, mostly, I guess.
The classrooms were set and the hallways looked bright,
The MacBooks were charging and lockers shut tight.
The schedules were printed, the lessons prepared,
With hope that the students would actually care.
The Bulldogs were ready, the staff feeling strong,
Because after a summer, it’s time to belong.
Tomorrow the hallways will come back alive,
With sixth graders wondering where Room 105 hides.
Seventh graders catching up, stories to tell,
And eighth graders acting like they know IMS well.
There’ll be laughter and learning, some nerves here and there,
A missing pencil before we even get to first hour somewhere.
There’ll be “What’s my password?” and “Where do I go?”
And at least one student saying, “My schedule says NO!”
But through all the chaos, one thing will be clear:
There’s something pretty special about starting a year.
New chances, new goals, new memories begun,
And a reminder to all that WE ARE ONE.
So Bulldogs, get ready—it’s finally here,
A brand-new beginning, a brand-new school year.
Get some sleep tonight, because tomorrow’s the call…
