USD 446 Independence Public Schools Enrollment for 2022-23 School Year Now Open !
Preschool through 12th Grade is currently enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year. Online Registration opens April 15 and Central Registration August 2-3. According to Kellie Puderbaugh, District Director of Learning Services, “It is a real benefit for us to have our parents register their students by May for the upcoming school year, as it allows our staff to complete critical enrollment tasks prior to meeting with parents and students in August.”
To complete an Application of Interest for three- and four-year-olds to attend Riley Early Learning Center, go to the USD 446 website, https://www.indyschools.com/, select Schools then Riley Early Learning Center, or call 620-332-8998.
To register your K-12 students, go to https://www.indyschools.com/ and select Registration. Returning families can also register students for the 2022-2023 school year by logging into their Infinite Campus portal account. Families with BOTH existing and new students should select the Returning Family option because new students can be ADDED as a part of the existing student registration process.
If none of your children attended USD 446 schools during the current school year but wish to attend in 2022-23, select the New Family option.
Out of district families wishing to enroll students for the 2022-23 school year must complete an out of district application and be approved by the principal of the building the child/children will attend. An Out of District Application can be printed from the USD 446 website, https://www.indyschools.com/, select Registration and then Click Here under Out of District Family. Completed out-of-district applications can be turned in to the building the child will attend or at Central Registration in August.
Families encountering issues completing online registration are directed to call the building of the oldest child for support. Riley (620-332-8998), Eisenhower (620-332-1854), Jefferson (620-332-1875), IMS (620-332-1836), and IHS (620-332-1815). Once online registration is complete, families should plan to attend Central Registration August 2-3, 2022 to finalize enrollment.
Additionally, In place of Kindergarten Roundup, Eisenhower Elementary School will be hosting a Pre-K Visitation Day on Friday, April 22 for area preschools (participating schools: Riley, Headstart, and Noah’s Arkademy). Incoming kindergarten students who are not in a participating preschool may attend the Open Session from 4:00 -5:00 pm. Parents will drop off their children and pick them up afterward. At this event, students will participate in a mini-kindergarten experience and tour Eisenhower School. A parent packet will be distributed that has all the information parents will need for their incoming kindergarten student. Call 620-332-1854 if you have questions or want to reserve a spot in the Open Session. To register for Kindergarten, children must be 5 years old by August 31, 2022.
