American Education Week: November 13-19, 2022

USD 446 would like to celebrate American Education Week by spotlighting our schools and staff.  Today's highlight is Eisenhower Elementary.  Eisenhower is where our Kindergarten-2nd grade students learn and grow!  It opened its doors in the Fall of 1991.  Capital Outlay funds financed an addition to accommodate full day Kindergarten in 2006.  As a Title Schoolwide, all students receive tiered support in reading and math, including a fully equipped Kindergarten Motor Lab.  Eisenhower has a full-time counselor, myriad support staff, and offers 7-8 classrooms per grade with regular time for Music, PE, Technology, Library, and Science Lab.  Students at Eisenhower start each day with a Morning Meeting, which allows them to center their brains to focus on learning.

American Education Week happens the week prior to Thanksgiving and is designed to honor the team of people who work in our nation's public schools, from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others.
