USD 446 would like to celebrate American Education Week by spotlighting our schools and staff. Today's highlight is Jefferson School. Jefferson Elementary is where our 3rd-5th grade students learn and grow! This 14.2 million dollar state-of-the-art upper elementary school was completed in 2011. As a Title schoolwide, all students receive tiered support in reading and math. Jefferson has a full-time counselor and a host of support staff. It offers 7-8 classrooms per grade level and specials to include PE, Music, Technology, and Library.
American Education Week happens the week prior to Thanksgiving and is designed to honor the team of people who work in our nation's public schools, from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others.
