USD 446 Curriculum:
Curriculum standards are approved by the Kansas State Board of Education and define what students will learn at each grade level and content. Locally, teachers write curriculum that defines how students will learn the content outlined in the standards, which is approved by the USD 446 Board of Education.

Independence High School implements Integrated Math, which addresses all Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 concepts in three integrated courses titled Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3. The 9th, 10th, and 11th grade parent guides listed here reflect what students on a regular math track will learn by the completion of Grade 11.
