Teachers and staff members nominate students for Student of the Month. Students for each grade level are chosen from a random drawing of nominated students for that month. The chosen students are announced at the monthly assembly to receive their certificate and be congratulated by IKE the Bullpup. These students get to have lunch with the principal at a local restaurant of their choice.
The District Student of the Month is chosen from the nominations for a different grade level each month. They are honored by the district and area businesses.
