Independence High School Learning Community:

Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year! I am humbled and honored to return as the principal of IHS.  Our learning community has a rich history of high academic performance and strong, positive relationships with students.  It is on this foundation I plan to continue the work with teachers to create a guaranteed and viable curriculum for our diverse learners and ensure every student is successful.  Our success will be measured by all students graduating from high school and prepared for his/her post-secondary option.  All stakeholders are valuable in this process.  I will rely heavily on students, families, and community members to continue to invest in and partner with IHS to meet the goal.
