Jason Hall was nominated for Student of the Month by his teacher, Susan Weaver. According to Mrs. Weaver, Jason is a very hard worker in class and always completes his assignments on time and to the best of his ability. She considers him a role model for other students in her classroom because he sets a positive example academically and with his behavior. She said he is also kind and helpful and an asset in the classroom. Jason is the son of Sheri Jabben and Jess Hall. He has one brother, Jacob, and one sister, Mariana.
Initiated during the 2007 school year, the district-wide student recognition program honors one elementary student from grades kindergarten though fifth and one secondary school student from grades sixth through 12th. Each school nominates one student each month, September through May.
Monthly recipients receive a $50 savings bond from Community National Bank and a free movie pass for their families provided by Independence Cinemas.
In addition, recipients are recognized in a specially-designed advertisement in the Independence Reporter and treated to lunch by their school principals.
